Tara Davis Invitational Frequently Asked Questions
What time do the gates open?
- Team Gate Opens: 6:30 AM
- Spectator Gate Opens: 7:30 AM
- Field Events Begin: 8:00 AM
- Running Events Begin: 8:30 AM
How do I track the event schedule?
You can Download the Order of Events to get an idea of the schedule. To follow the meet in real-time, please visit Westlake Timing online.
Where can I park?
There is no assigned parking; it is strictly first-come, first-served. We recommend arriving early to secure street parking. Volunteers should plan to arrive early to ensure they are at their post by their designated start time.
How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets are available in advance via GoFan.co. You may also purchase tickets at the spectator entrance at Agoura High School, but we strongly advise buying in advance as this event often sells out.
What forms of payment are accepted for food and entry?
We accept cash, credit cards, and online payments at the spectator entrance and all snack shacks.
What food will be available?
We have plenty of options to keep you fueled:
- Snack Shacks & Tables: Two shacks and two beverage tables will be open all day.
- Food Trucks: Located in the upper parking lot.
How do I sign up to volunteer or donate?
We welcome all Agoura High School families, students, and alumni to volunteer at this event! We often need help with the snack shack, athlete check-in, staging, measuring/recording results, and event setup/takedown. Shifts are only 2 hours long! Please contact agouratf@gmail.com for sign-up links and donation needs.
What are the perks of volunteering?
All event volunteers receive free entry into the Invitational!
Volunteers have the best seat in the house… only volunteers, officials, coaches, and athletes are permitted on the fields.
Where do I check in for my shift?
Enter through the spectator entrance at Argos and Thousand Oaks Blvd. Tell the gate agent you are a volunteer; once they verify your name on the list, they will direct you to the volunteer check-in station to receive your wristband and post assignment.
What should I wear?
It is preferred that you wear an Agoura Track and Field branded shirt if you have one, or team colors (Blue and Gold).
- Footwear: Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be standing or walking.
- Layers: Bring a jacket; it can be very cool in the early mornings and late evenings.
- Sun protection: You may want to consider bringing a hat, sunglasses, and/or sunblock.
Will I know what to do?
Yes! No prior experience is necessary. You will be oriented by a coach or post lead upon arrival. Specific stations like Athlete Check-in and the Medals Table will also have printed instructions available.
- Field Event Volunteers: Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins.
Will I be able to watch my athlete compete while I am volunteering?
Absolutely! We encourage you to watch your athletes. We ask that you:
- Visit Westlake Timing to anticipate their event time.
- Communicate with your co-staffers to ensure your post isn’t left unattended.
- If you are the only person at your post, notify the volunteer lead so they can find temporary coverage for you.
