Tara Davis-Woodhall
Early Beginnings at Agoura High School
Tara’s journey to greatness began right here at Agoura High School. As a student-athlete, she showcased her exceptional talent and determination, breaking records and setting new benchmarks. In 2017, Tara won three events at the CIF California State Meet, including the 100 meters hurdles and the long jump. Her performance in the hurdles, clocking in at 12.83 seconds, set a national high school record under all conditions[1]. She also set a state record in the long jump with a leap of 22 feet 1 inch, surpassing a 24-year-old record previously held by Olympian Marion Jones[1].
Collegiate Success and Professional Career
After graduating from Agoura High School, Tara continued her athletic career at the University of Georgia and later at the University of Texas. She broke the world under-20 record in the 60 meters hurdles during the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships[1]. Tara turned professional in 2021 and has since competed at the highest levels of the sport.
Olympic Glory and Beyond
Tara’s dedication and hard work culminated in her winning a gold medal in the women’s long jump at the 2024 Paris Olympics[2].
