“Coach Matt” Whealen is in his 7^th year as Jumps Coach at Agoura High School. He was a former track star himself competing in High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump and Relays.  He began his 20 plus years coaching with his kids and continues to coach long after they have grown.  Originally starting as High Jump coach at United Track Club, he popularized the forgotten field event which quickly grew to become the most popular field event in the club.  Over the course of next 15 years, he coached at United Track as well as briefly at Oak Park High School. He has had multiple athletes reach CIF Finals and State Championships.  The beloved Jumps Coach can be identified by his playlists and the GOT2HOP license plate!
