Andy Kastenberg

Coach, High Jump

Andy Kastenberg is a graduate of Agoura High School (1983) where he was a Varsity High Jumper. Coach Kastenberg grew up in the Conejo Valley and ran track with the Las Virgenes Comets during the 1970’s. He attended Yerba Buena, Sumac, LCMS and AHS.

He has coached youth high jump since 2004 in the region. Coach Kastenberg has coached with the Calabasas Cheetahs, the United Track Club, Oak Park High School, and at Agoura High School. Some of the athletes he has coached have successfully competed in the Junior Olympics, high level CIF meets, and have also been recognized at a national level.  He has also coached in high schools since 2009.

Andy has four children who have all participated in track and field as well as other sports. He coached basketball for almost twenty years in the region as well.

Professionally, he has been in the medical device space for almost thirty years in various roles.

His coaching philosophy is rooted in inclusion and in personal athlete development.
