Chargers Clinches Lead in Fifth Inning for Victory Over Newbury Park Panthers JV

Chargers took the lead late in the game in a 6-2 victory over Newbury Park Panthers JV on Tuesday. The game was tied at two with Chargers batting in the bottom of the fifth when Cooper Reyes reached on a dropped third strike.

Chargers knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the fourth inning. Chargers scored two runs when Ty Starling homered.

Tiger Ibanez was the winning pitcher for Chargers. The righty went three and a third innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out five and walking zero.

Cameron Fausset was on the mound for Newbury Park Panthers JV. The pitcher went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out two and walking zero. Everett San jose threw two innings in relief.

Thomas Novak started the game for Chargers. The lefthander surrendered two runs on one hit over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four

Chargers tallied one home run on the day. Starling had a four bagger in the fourth inning.

Nathan Conmy, Brent Elbert, Dom Longo, Starling, Carter Roberts, Reyes, and Beau Lantz all had one hit to lead Chargers.

Davis Klinger led Newbury Park Panthers JV with two hits in three at bats.
